3 Ways Cool Showers Combat Summer Fatigue

I get it, the relentless summer heat can be exhausting. It feels like the sun drains all your energy, leaving you sweaty and tired. But stepping into a cool shower can be so refreshing, washing away the weariness and renewing you.
 
1. Soothes and rejuvenates your skin: Cool water helps reduce inflammation and irritation, which can be a lifesaver during the humid summer months. It also tightens pores, leaving your skin looking smoother, firmer, and more youthful.

 

2. Boosts your energy and mood: A cool shower is like a burst of invigorating energy that can help you feel more alert and refreshed while also helping to regulate your body temperature. This can help you feel more motivated and ready to tackle whatever challenges come your way.

 
3. Improves your quality of sleep: After a long, hot day, falling asleep can be a real challenge. Taking a cool shower before bed can help lower your body temperature, which signals your brain to start getting ready for sleep. This can lead to a more restful and restorative night's sleep, so you can wake up feeling more energized and ready to take on the day.
 
So if you're exhausted during the heat wave, don't worry, we all are. Find rest by taking a shower at any given time. I like to start by taking my normal warm shower, then gradually turning the faucet to cool. I'm not interested in the WIM HOF method of ice-cold showers. It's not my vibe. I just want to relax, cool off and rest.  For an extra refreshing touch, add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to the floor of your shower before turning the water on.
